Our Mission

"אַחֲרֵ֤י לְבַבְכֶם֙ וְאַחֲרֵ֣י עֵֽינֵיכֶ֔ם אֲשֶׁר־אַתֶּ֥ם זֹנִ֖ים אַחֲרֵיהֶֽם׃ "

The third paragraph in שמע teaches us: do not follow your heart and eyes in your urge. (i.e shemiras anayim.)

The internet, being full of many things that may cause this urge,
is by many, considered to be purely a creation and ploy of the yetzer hara
to make us sin. While there is some truth in this approach, it's not looking at the
full picture. The internet, when maintained properly, can be full of
Torah, Learning, and Yiddishkeit.

Our Founder

Ezra Kovsky is an Orthodox Jew living in the Greater Philadelphia
Area, Pennsylvania. On a trip to Israel, he noticed that many Charedi Jews
avoid the internet. While he understood the reasons, something bugged him.
Obviously, in a click of a button you can access the worst possible things
on the internet. So it made sense that to avoid all this trouble, people just
didn't use it. He thought to himself, "Of all the Orthodox Jewish People,
why has no one designed a Kosher Internet?" As he searched,
he realized that there is somewhat of a demand for it. So, Kugel was born.

Our Company

We. will. remain. free. We rely on donations from wonderful Yidden
who care about having a Kosher internet. Our founders are (currently) our
only employees. Ezra Kovsky works tirelessly to provide upkeep and updates to
Kugel. If you are so inclined, donations would be GREATLY appreciated!
